George Clooney Says There Aren't "Enough Drugs In The World" To Return As Batman

Michael Keaton may have donned the suit to return as the Dark Knight in The Flash after decades away, but don’t expect a similar arc to play out for George Clooney. He made it plain and simple while promoting The Boys in the Boat that he has no intentions of wearing rubber nipples again.

Speaking with ET, Clooney said he doesn’t “think there’s enough drugs in the world for me” to become Batman once more. At the same time, he seemed pretty self-aware that there isn’t some big push for him to play the superhero again.

For instance, the Batman discussion began with a question about his surprise cameo as Bruce Wayne in The Flash. “Well, I thought there was such a clamor for me to come back as [Batman], as you know,” he jokingly said. Last week, Clooney made light of his Flash appearance as well. The actor had previously only portrayed the Dark Knight in 1997’s Batman & Robin, which was critically panned and underperformed at the box office.

Clooney is much more positive about returning in another Ocean’s 11 movie, even saying there’s “a great script.” However, currently Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling are attached to a prequel for the film franchise, portraying the parents of Clooney’s Danny Ocean.

Meanwhile, Clooney is the director behind the true story The Boys in the Boat, which is set to premiere in theaters on December 25.
