Halloween Ends Will Hit Theaters And Peacock On October 14

Halloween Ends will be hitting the big screen and Peacock simultaneously on October 14, according to an announcement made to fans as a special message from its star, Jamie Lee Curtis. Curtis, who returns to play Laurie Strode–the role that made her a star 40 years ago–says the film be a “fitting conclusion” to the franchise’s legacy.

“I’m very proud of our final film,” Curtis said in the video posted on Twitter. “And I cannot wait for people to have the chance to see it.” Curtis adds that with 2021’s Halloween Kills, the studio and creative team behind it learned together that there was a strong interest among audiences to venture out to the theaters and see the film, and also those who still wanted to stay at home and experience it there, also.

Curtis added: “We discovered that there are people who want to go to the theater and scream their guts out… and other people who want to stay at home and scream their guts out. What we knew is that people watched, and we got great results both at the box office and from streaming. This year, we want to make sure that as many people as possible can see Halloween Ends before Halloween, so we decided to give that same gift to the fans again.”

Check out everything we know so far about Halloween Ends, the slasher sequel that will close out the current Halloween trilogy. However, it came out last year that Halloween Ends isn’t likely to be Michael Myers’ final chapter in the horror saga.

The 2018 Halloween reboot was a huge box office smash, making $255 million worldwide. While Halloween Kills had its potential earnings reduced by COVID and a simultaneous streaming release on Peacock, it has still made $131.6 million worldwide to date, on a reported $20 million production budget.
