Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launches on November 10, and Activision is hosting a Call of Duty Next event this week to provide more details on the game. Ahead of the big reveal, the publisher has shared a teaser clip with a brief image of the brand-new Warzone map, which can be seen in the tweet below.
While the Warzone image doesn’t give a ton of information, we can see water and a port location with shipping containers and large cranes. A port has become a staple point of interest, as similar locations were featured on Call of Duty’s previous battle royale maps of Al Mazrah, Ashika Island, Caldera, Rebirth Island, and Verdansk.
A larger city area can be seen in the background, which would provide plenty of verticality for those looking to snipe on the new map. There’s also something floating in the sky in the top-right corner of the image, but it’s unclear from the distance if the object is a parachute, the return of Warzone’s redeploy drones, or something else entirely.
Regardless, we’ll know much more when Call of Duty Next premieres live on October 5 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST. Activision says Raven Software will be giving a deep dive on what to expect from the new battle royale map, and content creators will be showing off live gameplay. The event will also include announcements for multiplayer and Zombies.
Make sure to check out all the major Modern Warfare 3 announcements so far, including campaign details, remastered multiplayer maps, and more. Modern Warfare 3’s early access beta begins on October 6, and here are all the beta details needed to get hands-on with the game.
