In a new interview on the PlayStation Blog, game director Mathijs de Jonge explained how the PS5-exclusive DLC Burning Shores will take full advantage of the PS5’s advanced hardware.
In the piece, de Jonge says that the DLC’s 60fps frame rate and reduced load times (made possible by the PS5’s SSD) are the two improvements he’s most excited about. He noted that Burning Shores’ destroyed Los Angeles environment is much more visually detailed than anything in the base game. He also said there’s one particularly ornate battle scene that never would have been possible on the PS4.
