Call of Duty: Next start times
The event begins at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET that day. There is no word on how long this year’s event will run, but 2023’s showcase spanned more than four hours. Here are the start times for Call of Duty: Next on August 28:
9 AM PT12 PM ET5 PM BST1 AM JST (August 29)2 AM AEST (August 29)
What to expect at Call of Duty Next
Call of Duty: Next will provide a deeper look at Black Ops 6’s multiplayer mode, including more information on the new Omnimovement system. The event will also provide more information on Black Ops 6’s new maps and modes, as well as the general gameplay and systems available to players. Ahead of the show, we got a list of the Black Ops 6 PC system requirements, which aren’t especially taxing.
This event is happening in part to drum up excitement for the Black Ops 6 multiplayer beta, which begins on August 30. Call of Duty: Next will showcase some of the multiplayer maps in the beta.
Beyond multiplayer, Call of Duty: Next will include a closer look at Liberty Falls, one of the two launch maps for Zombies. Plus, the event will provide more information on Area 99, the latest map for the battle royale game Call of Duty: Warzone.
Beyond all of this, Call of Duty: Next will have updates on “Black Ops 6 integrations and more announcements,” whatever that may mean. Also on the mysterious side, Activision’s blog post has a redacted section pertaining to “information” about… something. Thankfully it won’t be much longer until we find out what this is all about.
Some think one of the reveals for Call of Duty: Next will be an announcement for early access to Black Ops 6’s campaign, or even its Zombies mode. Previous Call of Duty games have allowed players to jump into the campaign a week early if they preorder, but as of yet, no such promotion has been announced for Black Ops 6.
A recent rumor suggests that Black Ops 6’s Zombies mode could be available early for people who preorder, but this might not actually be true. GameSpot will report back with more information when it’s announced.
