IndieLand is back for 2023 with an all-digital event, celebrating the best indie games while raising money for dementia research. The event runs all week, culminating in a 24-hour, 3-day stream from October 27-29.
After an opening stream last week, the next event on the IndieLand 2023 roster is Wednesday’s Midweek Special featuring the Super Beard Bros, which kicks off at 1 PM PT. The main event is the IndieLand three-day marathon, which starts at 12 PM PT on October 27 and runs all the way until 10 PM PT on October 29. The stream will include a number of special guests from indie developers to gaming influencers–including GameSpot’s own Tamoor Hussain and Lucy James.
With events running since 2018, IndieLand is run by Jirard “The Completionist” Khalil in partnership with The Open Hand Foundation, a charity supporting dementia research. The event’s donation page can be found here–streamers who want to help out can also set up their own fundraisers to benefit the campaign.
The full list of games that will be featured in IndieLand 2023 can be found on its Steam page, with many of the games also having a demo available to try. We can look forward to plenty of news out of the indie showcase, with dev teams often joining the stream and new features revealed. For one, the Sonic Mania developer Christian Whitehead and Evening Star Studio will debut the first look at gameplay for their upcoming platformer, Penny’s Big Breakaway.
The official streams will be hosted on The Completionist’s Twitch channel.
