Killing Floor 3 was revealed during Opening Night Live at Gamescom with a gruesome trailer showing new enemies getting slaughtered in first-person. Killing Floor 3 takes place in the year 2091, with the Megacorportation Horzine creating an army of enhanced Zeds. The rebel group Nightfall stands as the final line of defense between humanity and the Zeds.

The previous entry in the series featured up to six player co-op and 12–player versus content, and Killing Floor 3 will likely also feature both modes. It also appears that the enemies in Killing Floor 3 might be more coordinated, between the upgrades and the trailer showing what appears to be an organized army.
