Book One: Air introduced Korra as she traveled to Republic City and crossed paths with an anti-bender revolutionary group led by the mysterious Amon, Book Two: Spirits focused on more spiritual themes, and Book Three: Change featured the anarchist group the Red Lotus as they attempted to overthrow the world’s governments and the Avatar herself. The final series, Book Four: Balance, follows Korra on a journey of self-discovery as she struggles to heal from physical and psychological injuries inflicted on her three years prior.
A critical success, The Legend of Korra won numerous accolades for its production quality and for incorporating issues of race, gender, and sexual orientation into its story.
