Lego is launching its largest set ever, the Lego World Map, on June 1. Reported by Wavy, the new mosaic set contains 11,695 pieces to create a massive Lego map to put up on your wall. The Lego World Map comes in at 26 inches high and 41 inches long, with white pieces to create the continents and colorful pieces for the ocean section. The map also features the option to adjust what continents are at the center of the map for anyone who wants to center their home country.

The Lego World Map takes the record for most pieces from the Coloeum set from December 2020, which contained 9036 pieces. The Lego World Map is listed at $250 USD on the Lego website (which is $300 cheaper than the Colosseum set) and includes a QR code that links to a custom playlist to listen to while building the map. It also includes a white frame and two hangers, so you can mount the map to the wall. Fiorella Groves, Creative Lead for Lego Art, said the set was meant to serve as something to help comfort those who have been unable to travel for the past year.
“We know that our adult fans love to travel, but many haven’t been able to do so for over a year now,” Fiorella said. “We thought that there was no better way of helping explore the world while relaxing in the comfort of their home than by allowing them to build, rebuild, plan and reminisce through building.”
Lego has been on a hot streak of announcements over the last few months, announcing multiple Star Wars Legos, like R2-D2 and a model of Darth Vader’s helmet. Lego also announced the Daily Bugle set, the largest Marvel-inspired Lego set to date, with 3,700 pieces and 25 minifigures.
