Apple has officially pulled back the curtain on the MacBook Air M3, showing off what appears to be another impressive entry to the lightweight laptop lineup. You won’t have to wait long to get your hands on the device, as it’s slated for release this Friday, March 8. Preorders are live now for the MacBook Air M3 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Apple. The M3 Air comes in 13- and 15-inch models and four colors: Midnight, Space Gray, Silver, and Starlight. At a starting price of only $1,099, the M3 MacBook Air looks to offer high performance at a lower price than the existing M3 MacBook Pro laptops.

Three versions of the MacBook Air (13-Inch, M3 Chip) are up for grabs. All three feature the powerful M3 chip and a vibrant, 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display. There are a few different configurations up for grabs. The base model costs $1,099 and includes an M3 Chip with an 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU, along with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. The mid-tier model offers an 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 8GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD. Climb up to the top model at $1,499, and you’ll get the same specs as the mid-tier model with double the RAM at 16GB. As usual, the new MacBook Air includes a built-in FaceTime HD camera, a Force Touch trackpad, and a Magic Keyboard with Touch ID for quick access.

Aside from a larger 15.3-inch display, these models are virtually the same as the three above. That includes three available configurations, a built-in webcam, a Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, and Force Touch trackpad. The larger screen will cost you $200 more regardless of configuration, so you’ll have to decide if the additional screen real estate is worth the jump.
