Mario Party 3 Comes To Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack

Nintendo is adding Mario Party 3 to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack library today, October 26. The minigame title features a few firsts for the franchise: the introduction of Story mode as well as Waluigi and Daisy’s inclusion as playable characters.

Mario Party 3 isn’t tied down to local multiplayer on Switch either, as players can get mad at the randomness with friends online. The game features over 70 minigames, with Nintendo highlighting Vine With Me and Eye Sore.

Now Playing: Mario Party 3 Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack Trailer

This comes almost a year after Mario Party and Mario Party 2 arrived as part of the premium subscription service, which costs $50 a year. The premium tier offers Nintendo 64, Game Boy Advance, and Sega Genesis titles, among other bonuses. A regular Nintendo Switch Online membership–costing $20 annually–gives access to Nintendo, SNES, and Game Boy titles.

While there’s no set schedule, Nintendo drops new classic games onto the subscription service throughout the months. For instance, three games never playable before in the US, such as Kirby’s Star Stacker on SNES, joined Nintendo Switch Online last month. Another classic title starring the pink puffball also came to the Expansion Pack tier in September, too. Kirby and the Amazing Mirror for GBA hit the service and even features online co-op for up to four people on Switch.

Not only was F-Zero 99 announced last month, but it also arrived on Nintendo Switch Online. The game mixes the SNES classic with battle royale elements for something totally new.
