Capcom has announced an open beta for Monster Hunter Wilds on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. PS Plus subscribers will be able to access it first on October 28, and it’ll roll out to PC and Xbox Series X|S players // out to PC and Xbox Series X|S players, as well as non-PS Plus subscribers on PS5, on October 31. Cross-play will also be supported across all platforms.
Anyone who participates in the open beta will receive a special pendant that can be used to decorate their weapons or Seikret mount if they decide to purchase the full game. Here’s a closer look at the exact times for when the open beta begins:

The open beta will conclude on November 3 at 6:59 PM PT / 9:59 PM ET, and it will include three separate experiences. Capcom says that players can check out the complete character creation tool–character creation data will be transferable to the full game upon release–a Story Trial, and the free-roaming Doshaguma Hunt.
Monster Hunter Wilds officially launches on February 28, 2025, and if you want to preorder, you can save up to $20 on the PC version right now. For those of you looking to treat yourself to some Monster Hunter merchandise, you can grab the Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster guitar if you have $2,000 burning a hole in your pocket and you live in Japan. Just remember: no Stairway.

In case you missed it, a new trailer has also gone live, showing off several of the beasts you’ll be tracking down. Some of the new additions to the bestiary include a mysterious monster the people from Azuz call the Black Flame, the armored beast known as the Ajarakan, and the Rompopolo that inhabits areas with deep oil silts.
