If you’re looking to make the best MyPlayer possible, we’ve got some pointers. Here are some of the best MyPlayer builds for each position in the next-gen version of NBA 2K23.
Best PG Build – Playmaking Shot Creator
This Point Guard build will allow your player to be effective both inside and outside the three-point line. It provides a total of 69 Badge Points, with the majority going into Playmaking and Shooting for Hall of Fame Ankle Breaker, Dimer, and Gold Unpluckable, alongside others like Gold Limitless Range, Catch & Shoot, and Deadeye. However, there are just enough points in Finishing to unlock notable Badges including Hall of Fame Giant Slayer, Gold Posterizer, and Gold Limitless Takeoff.
The height and length help when defending on switches and can also unlock certain animations. If you’d like, height can be lowered to gain some speed at the cost of inside finishing. As it stands, we sacrifice a bit of Acceleration, Speed With Ball, and a lot of rebounding stats. Here are the specifics:

Best SG Build – Inside-Out Shot Creator
This Shooting Guard build allows players to dominate both beyond the arc and whenever they get momentum going toward the basket. It’s similar to the PG build above, but with more Speed and inside finishing stats for whenever you find yourself underneath the basket.
This build won’t be grabbing any rebounds, but nearly all of the Shooting Badges are Hall of Fame status with a few key options in Finishing like Giant Slayer, Pro Touch, and Limitless Takeoff.

Best SF Build – 3 & D Wing
This Small Forward build moves away from the inside-out archetype and focuses more on defense than any other stat category. 3 & D Wings can shut down opposing players who focus solely on offense while still being able to score efficiently through spot-up jumpers. Key Badges for this build include Menace, Challenger, and Catch & Shoot.
The lack of speed with the ball is a weakness here, so don’t try to get fancy with it in your hands. Focus on off-ball movement to get solid spot-up shots while using lockdown defense to shut down wing scorers on the opposing team.

A Paint Beast Power Forward build will make your character an expert when it comes to defense, rebounding, and inside scoring. Aim to shut down opponents in the key on defense, then dominate in the paint on offense. The Rise Up, Rebound Chaser, Pogo Stick, and Anchor Badges are staples in this build.
This build’s main weakness is shooting, so don’t even attempt mid or long-range shots. As the name suggests, you’ll live in the paint on both ends of the floor.

This Center build gives your player the ability to score from any spot inside the three-point line with the option to step outside the arc in some situations. The main strengths here are mid/close-range finishing, rebounding, and rim protection. The key Badges to go for are Rise Up, Aerial Wizard, Green Machine, and Post Lockdown.
The weaknesses here are the same ones that plague all big men–ball handling and speed. Try to focus on spot-up jumpers or putbacks on offense, and paint protection on defense.
