Netflix Releases Chilling First Look At Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet Of Horrors

Netflix has released a trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, an upcoming horror anthology scheduled to premiere October 25 on the streaming service. Two new tales will debut starting on that date through to October 28.

Eight episodes in total will be rolling out just before Halloween, with six coming as adaptations from the classical horror genre the anthology is named for, and an additional two are original works by del Toro himself. According to Netflix, del Toro has curated a collection of “unprecedented and genre-defining stories meant to challenge our traditional notions of horror.” Check out the trailer below, which features a first look at the show’s monsters and also offers a taste of the collection’s tone.

“With Cabinet of Curiosities, we set out to showcase the realities existing outside of our normal world: the anomalies and curiosities. We hand-picked and curated a group of stories and storytellers to deliver these tales, whether they come from outer space, supernatural lore, or simply within our minds,” said Guillermo del Toro in a release. “Each of these eight tales is a fantastical peek inside the cabinet of delights existing underneath the reality we live in.”
