Netflix's Tomb Raider Series Sets Release Date, New Trailer Out Now

Netflix has announced the premiere date for its upcoming Tomb Raider animated series. The show premieres October 10 on Netflix, and to get people excited, Netflix released a new trailer.

The new spot, titled “Danger,” shows Lara Croft in great danger. The show takes place after the events of the latest video game series that ended with Shadow of the Tomb Raider, picking up with Lara’s latest globetrotting adventure.

Hayley Atwell (Captain America) voices Lara in the series, which has her returning home when a dangerous and powerful Chinese artifact is stolen from Croft Manor. “Her daring pursuit will take her on an adventure around the world and to the depths of forgotten tombs, where she will be forced to confront her true self, and decide just what kind of hero she wants to become,” reads a line from the show’s description.

If you’ve never played the latest Tomb Raider games, there is a $50 bundle available on console and PC that includes Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Beyond this Tomb Raider animated series, Prime Video is making a live-action Tomb Raider series. Additionally, Crystal Dynamics is making a new Tomb Raider game with Amazon.
