When the cast for Agatha All Along was first announced, it was believed that Joe Locke would portray Billy Kaplan, the teenage incarnation of one of Wanda Maximoff and Vision’s sons. However, the identity of Locke’s character has yet to be revealed and he is only addressed as “Teen” within the show. But a new trailer for Agatha All Along suggests that Teen’s real name may be less important than the power he already has.
In the video, Teen claims credit for breaking Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) out of the Scarlet Witch-infused spell she was placed under during the finale of WandaVision in 2021. The reason why Teen sought Agatha out is that she’s the only witch who has survived the Witches Road. And Teen wants her help repeating the feat so he can claim some power of his own. It also seems like some other force is preventing Teen from sharing his real name. Or perhaps that’s just an edit that Marvel put in the trailer to maintain the surprise.
Since Agatha has been stripped of her powers by Wanda, she’s willing to go along with Teen’s plan. She also assembles a new coven including Jennifer Kale (Sasheer Zamata), Sharon Davis (Debra Jo Rupp), Lilia Calderu (Patti LuPone), and Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza). But as teased in the trailer, betrayals are inevitable among this group. Agatha herself would gladly step over the body of anyone who stands in the way of her ambitions.
During D23, the cast of Agatha All Along sang The Ballad of the Witches Road, an original song by WandaVision’s Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. And that’s not the only musical number that will be featured in the show.
Disney+ will premiere the first two episodes of Agatha All Along on September 18.
