A new trailer for Age of Empire IV, the latest in the long-running RTS franchise, was unveiled during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase.
The trailer showed two new factions available to players at launch, the French and the Abbasid Dynasty. A new campaign, The 100 Years War, was also unveiled, and will star Joan of Arc as she leads the French against English forces in the famous conflict.
Gameplay shown in the trailer includes city-building, land combat with elephants and horses as mounts. Naval battles–a first for the Age of Empires franchise–was also shown for the first time ever.
