New Assassin's Creed Mirage Trailer Released At Gamescom Opening Night Live

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Mirage as part of Gamescom’s Opening Night Live event in Germany, and it highlights the franchise’s return to the region where it all began: The Middle East.

The trailer focuses on a conversation between the game’s protagonist Basim and his companion Roshan, where they discuss the city of Baghdad which serves as the game’s primary setting. Basim talks about his memories of the city from his childhood–specifically mentioning the House Of Wisdom, also known as the Great Library Of Baghdad–before talking about his mission as a Hidden One.

As Basim speaks, we see multiple scenes of different areas featured in this virtual Baghdad, including marketplaces, temples, and more. Each area also shows Basim sneaking through ceilings or climbing walls, highlighting the signature Assassin’s Creed gameplay in this next installment.

Mirage was originally set to be released on October 12, but Ubisoft brought the release date forward by one week to October 5. The game is apparently three times shorter than Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Ubisoft revealed that it has no DLC plans for it at the moment.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be released for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
