The horror movie streaming company Shudder’s latest original film is called “Slaxx,” and it follows the story of a pair of jeans that wants to kill people.
The jeans become possessed and come to life to exact revenge upon a “trendy” clothing company. The jeans are sent to the company’s flagship store and start to pick off workers one-by-one as they work overnight to get the new collection ready for display. It’s sort of like Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, except the pants want to rip your fingers off and kill you to death instead of reunite childhood friends.
Slaxx stars Romane Denis (Slut in a Good Way), Brett Donahue (Private Eyes), Sehar Bhojani (The Handmaid’s Tale), and Stephen Bogaert (The Umbrella Academy). It’s directed by Elza Kephart (Go in the Wilderness, Graveyard Alive) from a script from Kephart and Patricia Gomez (Gravyard Alive).
The effects work–and there is a lot because this is a movie about jeans that come to life–was done by Blood Brothers FX. This company previously worked on Turbo Kid, Blood Quantum, and Ravenous.
