New Lord Of The Rings Boromir Statue Looks Like It Stepped Off The Movie Set

This December will mark the twentieth anniversary of the first live-action Lord of the Rings film, The Fellowship of the Ring. While you’ll likely have to make your own plans for an anniversary screening due to current conditions, you can celebrate with some official merchandise such as this Boromir statue from Iron Studios.

At a 1/10 scale, the statue is modeled on Boromir’s actor Sean Bean and includes many of the details from the scene in which the fellowship explored the seemingly abandoned mines of Minas Moria. Boromir is sculpted in his cinematic robes, has his iconic Horn of Gondor, and also carries his sword in a battle-ready pose.

Constructed from polystone materials, each statue is also hand-painted, and the only accessories missing are several Uruk-hai arrows to insert into the statue to recreate Boromir’s last stand at Balin’s Tomb.

The statue measures a shelf-friendly size of nine inches in height and weighs around 0.7 pounds. As an added bonus, it can be joined with other Lord of the Rings statues to create a battle diorama. It’ll be released at the end of 2021, and will set you back $150.

In other Lord of the Rings news, Amazon has canceled its Lord of the Rings MMO game, and production on Amazon’s Lord of the Rings TV series continues with a budget that’s probably less than $465 million according to one studio executive who labeled such reports as fake news.
