The product page also confirms that New Pokemon Snap is a single-player game. Despite this, it appears there will be some kind of online component; the page mentions that New Pokemon Snap supports Nintendo Switch Online and features “online play,” although no other details were shared beyond that. This online mode may presumably be used for sharing your best photos, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
New Pokemon Snap is a successor to the classic N64 spin-off. As in the original, the game has players riding through lush landscapes and photographing wild Pokemon. According to its official website, there will be more than 200 monsters in the game.
