Overwatch is once again celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year, and that means a bevy of new skins available as part of the event. The Year of the Ox includes five new skins, multiple other cosmetics, and a new special Brawl mode. The event runs through February 25.
The five new Legendary skins are Bull Demon Orisa, Tiger Huntress Ashe, Dragonfire Bastion, Kkachi Echo, and Pale Serpent Widowmaker. You can also win three new Epic skins (Terracotta Medic Baptiste, Xiake McCree, and Imperial Guard Reaper) and other cosmetics by taking part in weekly challenges. You can see the new skins below.
The event also includes a new Brawl called Bounty Hunter. Whoever scores the first kill of a match becomes the Target, while all other players become Bounty Hunters. When the Target is killed, the player who scored the killing blow becomes the new Target. After Lunar New Year, this Brawl will become part of the standard rotation.
As always, you can obtain the Legendary event skins and other cosmetics through randomized loot crates or purchasing them straight-up with your saved credits.
This event will overlap with BlizzCon Online, where Blizzard has promised more news on Overwatch 2. You can also pick up a special 30th anniversary pack with goodies from various Blizzard games including Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Diablo 3, and more.
