You can get Electronics in Pacific Drive by dismantling appliances with the Scrapper. Here’s a quick summary:
The Scrapper tool is unlocked early in the game. It can be crafted via the Workbench (in your hub) or Craft Mat (in your car’s trunk). Each Scrapper requires 3x Scrap Metal and 6x Plastic.Appliances are often found inside cabins, trailers, and houses that dot the wilderness. These include phones, TVs, cash registers, radios, and more.With the Scrapper equipped, hold the left mouse button to start dismantling the object. Then, pick up the resources that drop on the ground. More often than not, appliances tend to yield at least 1x Electronics.Note that it’s also possible to find Electronics in various containers/chests that you open inside buildings.Moreover, there might be Transmuters that allow you to convert certain materials into Electronics. These machines are often found in ARDA Towers.
As for Circuit Boards in Pacific Drive, you need to unlock the blueprint itself via the Fabrication Station in your hub. Go to the Refine tab by pressing the “E” key and select the blueprint. It has the following prerequisites:
You must have unlocked the blueprints for the Gear, Bulb, and Steel Sheet.The Circuit Board also requires a Basic Workbench, 1x Fabric, and 0.4 Stable Energy.Once the Circuit Board blueprint is unlocked, you can craft one via the Workbench. It requires 6x Plastic, 2x Copper Wire, and 4x Electronics.
So, why exactly would you want to get more Electronics and Circuit Boards in Pacific Drive? Well, that’s because these components are used for upgrades that are integral from the early-game and mid-game onward. Here are some examples:
You need Electronics to unlock additional functions, such as the Detailing Station (i.e. cosmetics) and Matter Deconstructor (i.e. recycler).Circuit Boards are used for advanced structure and items, like the Fax Machine, Improved Antenna, and Rapid Refill Pump, which is used to gather more fuel faster.
