If you follow Hideo Kojima on social media, then you know the legendary game director is quite a big cinephile–and that includes a soft spot for the Paddington franchise. Apparently, the feeling is mutual, as the little Peruvian bear has offered to dine with Kojima over a marmalade sandwich.
The interaction came after Kojima posted a video of himself opening a promotional package for the upcoming Paddington in Peru movie, which contained a number of goodies–including a jar of Paddington’s famous marmalade.
Marmalade sandwiches, of course, contain all the vitamins and minerals a bear needs for the whole day, though it’s unclear if this will be enough sustenance for a 60-year-old human man currently working on multiple video games.
Though he’s best known for being very polite and taking things very literally, Paddington has also dabbled in tactical operations. This has helped him to put away some of England’s most notorious criminals.
For his next adventure, Paddington is headed back to Peru in the appropriately titled Paddington in Peru. The first trailer dropped for the film recently, showing the bear and his adopted family, the Browns, traveling to his birthplace to search for Aunt Lucy.
Hideo Kojima is currently working on Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, as well as the horror game OD and the espionage game Physint.
