With numerous critters to be found in Palworld, you might have a tough time trying to keep track of all of them. Thankfully, there’s a device that helps you do just that. Here’s our guide on how to feed and manage Pals in Palworld, which has finally arrived on PS5 as of September 2024. It’s also still available on PC and Xbox.
How to feed and manage Pals in Palworld
There are a few structures and items that you need if you want to feed and manage Pals in Palworld. It’s known as the Palbox, an all-important device acts as a makeshift base, fast travel point, and Pal organizer. It’s created via the build menu and it requires 1x Paldium Fragment, 8x Wood, and 3x Stone.
Assigning Pals to work in your base
Once you have a Palbox, interact with it to place any Pal that you’ve caught to make them stay in your base. Simply drag their portrait to the lower portion of the panel. If you do this, Pals will roam around and do various tasks within the Palbox’s radius, including mining ores and gathering resources. Similarly, Pals will help you when you’re trying to construct objects or craft items via workbenches.
Moreover, the Palbox has certain crafting-related tasks that you need to complete. Doing so levels up your base, which also lets you assign more Pals to the area. Lastly, you can reassign Pals back to your party by dragging their respective portrait to the left side of the panel.
How to take care of your Pals’ food and sleeping needs
There are other facets to consider if you plan to feed and manage Pals in Palworld. First, there’s food:
Feed Box (requires 20x Wood) – You can unlock this object via the Technology menu. Then, go ahead and build it in your base. Place any type of food item inside, and the Pals in your base will automatically eat whenever they’re hungry.Berry Plantation (requires 3x Berry Seeds, 20x Wood, and 20x Stone) – This is also unlocked via the Technology menu. Once built, you have to hold the interaction button to plant seeds. Then, do the same to water the plot. After a short while, berry bushes will grow, allowing you to have a passive means of gathering food. Note that it’s also possible for certain Pals to handle this task automatically if they have these types of traits.
Another thing to take note of is the stress or exhaustion of your Pals. If they keep working too hard, they’re bound to slow down a bit due to fatigue. That’s why you need to build a Straw Pal Bed (requires 10x Wood and 5x Fiber).
Each Pal that’s assigned to your base should have their own bed (i.e. five Pals means five Straw Pal Beds). This ensures that everyone remains healthy and in good condition as they gather more resources for you.
This is how you feed and manage Pals in Palworld. Always take care of your animal buddies and be mindful of their condition. Speaking of which, you might want to know how to heal and revive Pals in instances when you face tougher foes.
Wide-open expanses, unique biomes, and even stranger creatures await you in Palworld. You can learn more about the game in our guides hub.
