Actor Pedro Pascal turned up to an art exhibit dedicated to himself but was denied entry after realizing that the event was closed on the day he arrived.
The ADHD Hyper Fixation And Why It Looks Like I Love Pedro Pascal by artist Heidi Gentle Burrell is currently on display at the Rhodes Gallery in Margate, Kent in England–an exhibit centered around the Hollywood actor and consisting of multimedia art styles–and Pascal decided to visit. However, he couldn’t gain entry because he turned up on a Sunday (via BBC).
The star of The Mandalorian and The Last of Us tried to attend with actor Russell Tovey and gallerist Robert Diament–both hosts of the Talk Art podcast–who shared a photo of themselves on their Instagram outside the closed gallery.
Jessica Rhodes Robb, co-owner of the Rhodes Gallery, told the BBC that she was “mortified” that Pascal couldn’t get into the exhibit and had to look at the art through the window.
“Heidi’s show is absolutely phenomenal and we’re so proud that it’s received the publicity it deserves,” she said. “We’re mortified that they couldn’t get in, and our Sunday opening policy is most definitely under review. We’ll be sending Pedro a gift from the show by way of apology.”
Pascal may have another chance to attend if he’s still visiting England, since the exhibit is running until September 1.
The actor starred as Joel Miller in HBO’s adaptation of The Last of Us video game. The show was renewed for a Season 2 back in January after becoming the network’s second-biggest debut after the Game of Thrones spin-off House of the Dragon. Production isn’t likely to begin any time soon amid the ongoing Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
