A new wave of games included with the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium memberships are coming on October 17, offering up plenty of scares just in time for Halloween.

Sony’s just-announced lineup goes heavy on horror games, with Alien: Isolation, Dead Island: Definitive Edition, Outlast 2, and The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes all joining the service soon. For those who aren’t a fan of being scared, there’s still a wide variety of titles for players to check out. One of 2019’s most critically acclaimed games, Disco Elysium, is also joining the service. There is also one PlayStation 5 only game on the list for the month, that being last year’s Batman-less Batman action game, Gotham Knights.

PlayStation players with Starfield envy can check out the multiplayer space-sim Elite Dangerous, while those looking for a more solitary sci-fi experience can embark on the journey of one boy and his ship looking for a new home in a flooded world in Far: Changing Tides. Action-minded players will want to check out Eldest Souls, a top-down, From Software-inspired action game as well as Gungrave G.O.R.E., a frenetic, over-the-top third-person action-shooter. Last but not least, there’s Röki, a puzzle-solving adventure title where a young girl seeks to save her family from a mysterious threat in the wilderness of the far-north.

For Premium subscribers looking for something more old-school, four games are being added to the service’s Classics catalog. Fighting game fans can check out Tekken 6 and SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny, the PlayStation Portable entry in the franchise. Additionally, puzzle title IQ final and another PSP game, the minigame focused spin-off, Ape Escape Academy, will also be added.

Sony announced the free PlayStation Plus Premium games for October 2023 earlier this month, adding last year’s Dead Space spiritual successor The Callisto Protocol, as well as Farming Simulator 22 and the immersive sim RPG Weird West, to the service.
