Update: The PSN server status tracker now indicates that “all services are up and running” following an outage that saw disruptions across multiple PlayStation services. According to the PlayStation Network service status page and DownDetector, PSN is experiencing severe connection issues and disruptions around the world, making features like account management, the PlayStation Store, and social apps unavailable across PS3, PS4, PS5, Vita, and even some web services. Some users are also receiving error WS-37398-0 when attempting to login.
Account management, gaming and social, PlayStation Now, PlayStation Video, PlayStation Store, and PlayStation Direct are all being impacted by the server disruption. This means you might not be able to sign-in to your PSN account, play games like Call of Duty: Warzone, purchase new games from the PS Store, access video content, or launch apps and other social features.
The WS-37398-0 error message some users are reporting generally indicates a problem with PlayStation Network’s servers, which means there’s nothing users can do until Sony addresses the issue.
PlayStation’s US-based support team has not acknowledged the network issues yet, but Ask PlayStation’s Japan-based account did post about the outage on Twitter. The tweet, translated by Google and embedded below, states, “Right now, PSN (including PlayStation Store) may not be available. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to our customers. We are conducting an investigation and restoration work, so please wait for a while.”
This also indicates the issue is affecting more than one region.
Other developers have also begun flagging the PSN outage as the cause of issues affecting their own games. For instance, Destiny and Destiny 2 players have been receiving permissions errors attempting to access multiplayer, as Bungie cites on Twitter.
