Red Dead Redemption Coming To PC This Month With Undead Nightmare; 4K Support And PC Requirements Revealed

Confirming years of rumor and speculation, Rockstar Games has officially announced that Red Dead Redemption and its Undead Nightmare expansion are headed to PC–and soon. The game and expansion will come to PC on October 29.

Double Eleven is working on Red Dead Redemption for PC in collaboration with Rockstar Games. There will be a number of PC-specific features, including native 4K visuals at up to 144hz, along with support for ultrawide and super ultrawide monitors. The game also includes support for HDR10 and Nvidia DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0 upscaling. Nvidia DLSS frame generation is also supported, while players can adjust draw distances and shadow quality settings, among other things.

Now Playing: Red Dead Redemption – Official PC Release Date Reveal Trailer

Preorder information will be available later this week. The game will be available across Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Rockstar’s own PC store.

While 2018’s Red Dead Redemption II came to PC a year after the game debuted on consoles, the original Red Dead launched for Xbox 360 and PS3 and never expanded to PC until now. The game came to Nintendo Switch in August 2023.

Double Eleven, an independent game developer, was also the developer of Red Dead Redemption’s Switch and PS4 port. It has worked on ports of Grounded, Fallout 76, Rust, Minecraft Dungeons, and Limbo, among others.

The minimum and recommended PC system requirements for Red Dead Redemption were posted on Steam. These may be subject to change.

As for Rockstar Games, the studio is now developing Grand Theft Auto VI, which is set for release in Fall 2025.
