Civilization fans don’t have to wait too much longer to play the next mainline entry in the 4X series, as Civ 7 is slated for launch on February 11, 2025. But you could play plenty of rounds of the official Civilization board game while you wait. For Prime Big Deal Days, Amazon has dropped the price of Sid Meier’s Civilization: A New Dawn to $41 (was $55). This deal expires tonight, October 9, at 11:59 PM PT.
In addition to the base game, the Terra Incognita Expansion is on sale for $33.49 (down from $45).

Created by Fantasy Flight Games, A New Dawn is for 2-4 players and requires about 1-2 hours per game, though of course your playtime could vary. Like the video game, the board game is about “culture, conquest, and diplomacy,” as players build and shape their own empire. The Terra Incognita Expansion, meanwhile, takes players to new lands and expands the player cap to five while adding new Leaders and dynamic maps.
Civilization: A New Dawn isn’t the only video game-inspired board game on sale for Prime Big Deal Days; it’s not even the only one created by Fantasy Flight Games. The official Fallout board game is on sale for $52.49 (was $70). Here’s a list of more deals on board and card games adapted from popular games.
