If you plan on playing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 when it comes out on October 20, make sure you have enough room to install it, because it’ll take up at least 98GB of storage on your PlayStation 5.
The news comes from X (formerly Twitter), where one user posted a photo of the Spider-Man 2 limited edition PS5 and it reads:
“Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 officially requires a minimum of 98GB per the official Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Console Bundle Retail Box #SpiderMan2PS5.”
Shortly after that was tweeted, the community director of Insomniac Games, James Stevenson, responded with a GIF that seemingly confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 would take up a lot of storage.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is a direct sequel to the original 2018 Spider-Man and 2020 Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. In the upcoming sequel, you can play as both Peter Parker and Miles Morales while fighting against various villains, including Kraven the Hunter, the Lizard, and Venom. Even though you’ll have the freedom to play as both Spider-Men “with a simple button press,” there’ll be moments in the story where you’ll forced to play as either Peter or Miles.
