Spider-Man: Miles Morales Hits PC On November 18, System Requirements And Graphics Options Detailed

Spider-Man: Miles Morales for PC now has a release date: November 18. The game was developed by Nixxes Software, which is owned by Sony, and the developer shared a number of new details on the title via the PlayStation Blog about system requirements and more.

Miles Morales for PC has new ray-traced shadows for outdoor light from the sun and moon, which Nixxes says should help make the game’s version of New York look even more lifelike. The game also supports ultra-wide monitors and aspect ratios of 21:9, 32:9, and 48:9 (for triple-monitor setups).

What’s more, the title uses upscaling technologies including Nvidia DLSS 3 (which requires a new GPU) to achieve higher and smoother frame rates. DLSS 2, DLAA, and Nvidia Reflex are supported as well.

For graphics, players can customize things like texture quality, level of detail, crowd/traffic density, and field of view, among other things. Miles Morales will look and perform the best if you have a beefy rig, but Sony said the developers have tried to ensure the game can scale well to less powerful machines.

The Minimum and Recommend requirements are listed below, as compiled by PlayStation, along with details for Very High, Amazing Ray Tracing, and Ultimate Ray Tracing.

Miles Morales supports keyboard and mouse as well as a DualSense controller via a wired USB connection. This will include adaptive trigger feedback and haptic response, just like the console version. The game also supports a variety of other inputs via Steam Input.

Everyone who pre-purchases Miles Morales for Steam or the Epic Games Store before launch will receive the following bonuses:

Two-suit pack, including the T.R.A.C.K. Suit, and Into the Spider-Verse SuitEarly access to the Gravity Well gadgetThree Skill Points to unlock some abilities from the start of the game

Sony is expecting to make $300 million from its PC game releases in 2022, and Miles Morales will help the company get there. Sony’s next PC release is Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, which arrives on October 19. The original Marvel’s Spider-Man came to PC in August.

Sony is bringing some of its games to PC, but most will not launch day-and-date like Microsoft does for its own first-party games. Upcoming games, like God of War: Ragnarok, will remain exclusive to console for about a year before they jump to PC, if they ever do, Sony has said. Sony’s live-service games, however, will be an exception and are expected to launch simultaneously across PC and console.
