Some people may sound off to their friends with their complaints about a game. Others may write passionate social media posts. And then there is somebody who supposedly spent thousands of dollars to rant about Splatoon 3 at a Nintendo shareholder meeting.
GLHF reports that a Splatoon 3 player appeared at the event to complain about what they perceive as preferential treatment for girl inklings versus boy characters in the Switch exclusive. Apparently, they believe female characters get a lot more customization options, such as hairstyles and emotes.

Now Playing: Splatoon 3 – Sizzle Season 2023 Announcement
The Splatoon 3 player in question is supposedly Twitter user Haruikatako, who claims to have spent $3,570 to buy shares and attend the Nintendo meeting. The individual added that they have previously penned letters to the company about their criticisms, yet never received a response. This supposedly prompted them to take matters further.
This isn’t the first time this has happened, either. Last year, a Nintendo fan bought over $40,000 in company stock to ask about an F-Zero revival. In both instances, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa actually responded to the fan questions.
Twitter user NStyles stated that this time Furukawa actually interrupted the Splatoon 3 player because the question was too long. But that apparently didn’t stop the rant from continuing. When the tirade ended, the Nintendo president supposedly thanked the player for playing the game and for their input.
Splatoon 3 recently returned to Inkopolis as part of the game’s expansion pass, which was revealed earlier this year. The second wave of the DLC, called Side Order, will launch later this year.
