Square Enix and FuturLab have announced that PowerWash Simulator is collaborating with SpongeBob SquarePants for its next special update. Content themed around the popular animated show will release for the game this summer.
The new update will include a mini-campaign with six new maps: Conch Street, the Bikini Bottom Bus, the Krusty Krab, the Patty Wagon, the Invisible Boatmobile, and the Mermalair. Additionally, the PowerWash character model has been redesigned for the new special pack so that it can fit the aesthetic and art style of the SpongeBob SquarePants series.
There are also 10 new achievements that will be added to the game as well. A specific release date beyond “this summer” wasn’t mentioned.
The last collaboration PowerWash Simulator had was with Final Fantasy VII back in March and Tomb Raider back in January.
The new content will come to all available platforms including PC, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox. It will cost $8 as opposed to the previous Final Fantasy VII and Tomb Raider packs, which were free. The game is also still available to play on Xbox Game Pass, though you’ll need to purchase the DLC separately in order to play it.
In GameSpot’s PowerWash Simulator review, we said, “At its best, PowerWash Simulator is a quiet, relaxing experience that’s best enjoyed in small doses. It’s time-consuming, yes, but once in a while, we all need something to consume our time.”
