Star Wars Outlaws – How To Upgrade Your Speeder

There are huge, open-world environments to explore in Star Wars Outlaws. Naturally, you don’t want to roam around on foot. The good news is that you’ve got a “trusty” vehicle with you–well, okay, it does have a few issues. Here’s our guide on how to upgrade your speeder in Star Wars Outlaws.

How to upgrade your speeder in Star Wars Outlaws

The Star Wars Outlaws speeder is a vehicle that you gain access to the moment you crash land on the planet of Toshara. Upon exiting your ship, the Trailblazer, you have to fend off several bandits while protecting a mechanic named Waka. From there, you can drive across rugged terrain on your speeder until you reach the city of Mirogana, which is where you’ll find the next main objective related to the campaign.

Speeder upgrades are handled by NPCs, such as Valith Nuulvys In Mirogana and Trellem Hobarchi in Jaunta’s Hope. Other settlements also have their own respective mechanics. Just remember to have the necessary materials to complete the upgrade process.

Special unlocks for your speeder

Shortly thereafter, you should hear of rumors in the Mirogana cantina. These concern an expert NPC named Selo Rovak, also known as the Mechanic. If you complete this quest chain, you’ll unlock the Speed Boost ability, which allows your speeder to gain a burst of speed for a short duration. Selo’s ability options also let you unlock the Jump Boost, which grants a vertical jump move to help you avoid obstacles on the road.

Later on the planet of Akiva, you’ll meet another expert NPC named Temmin Wexley. He’s got yet another integral speeder upgrade for you. Once you’re done with his quest, your speeder should be able to traverse bodies of water, allowing you to sail to landmasses in the middle of Akiva’s massive lake. You can learn about these other perks in our expert NPC locations and abilities guide.
