Every House Upgrade In Stardew Valley

When you first arrive at your farm in Stardew Valley, the house waiting for you is tiny. You can upgrade your house at the Carpenter’s, increasing the size of the interior and adding important additions, like the kitchen. These upgrades are pretty expensive and resource intensive, but the benefits make it worth it. Here’s everything you need to know about upgrading your house in Stardew Valley.

Main House upgrades

There are three main house upgrades that you can purchase. Each upgrade takes three days of in-game time to complete. In addition to the main new feature with each upgrade, there is also an increase in interior house space, which you can decorate however you see fit.

House Upgrade 1 requires 10,000G and 450 Wood, adding a kitchen to your house. The kitchen allows you to cook food, so long as you have learned the recipe for whatever item you are cooking.

House Upgrade 2 requires 65,000G and 100 Hardwood, adding an empty room and a nursery. This allows you to have children and unlocks the renovations system.

House Upgrade 3 requires 100,000G, adding a cellar to your house. The cellar is for casks, which can age some artisan products like cheese and wine, improving their quality. The cellar comes with 33 casks and the recipe to craft more, with space in the cellar for over 100 casks.
