On Monday Night Raw, The Miz and John Morrison had advertised that the competitors for the WWE Championship, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre and Goldberg, to appear but fans got a little bit of a surprise instead.
When introducing Goldberg, Duane Gill aka Gillberg hit the ramp and made his way to the ring. Gill, a former WWF Light Heavyweight Champion, has been wrestling as the Gillberg character since 1998 and even made an appearance in the 1998 Survivor Series against Mankind, wrestling under his real name.
After Gillberg’s entrance, McIntyre’s music hits but since the WWE Champion is still under quarantine, we got yet another surprise–a fake Drew.
The actor who portrayed the fake Drew might look familiar to some fans as David Krumholtz. The New York actor has been acting since he was 15 years old. His first big part came as Joel Glicker, the love interest of young Wednesday Addams in Addams Family Values.
He’s also appeared in Walk Hard as John C. Reilly’s Dewey Cox’s first manager Schwartzberg, The Santa Clause as Bernard, Netflix’s Master of None, Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle, and most recently CBS relaunch of The Twilight Zone.
