The Batman Finishes Filming After COVID-19 Delays

It appears that filming on the much-anticipated and delayed Batman movie, The Batman, has finished. Director Matt Reeves shared a photo on Twitter with the hashtag #LastDay

The final day of principal photography was apparently March 13, according to the clapperboard, which Reeves seems to have sealed inside a plastic container for historical purposes. While filming may be finished, it’s likely the movie has a series of post-production stages still ahead.

It’s been a long road for The Batman, as production shut down in 2020 after Batman actor himself, Robert Pattinson, tested positive for the virus.

Pattinson will be be joined by John Turturro as crime boss Carmine Falcone, Andy Serkis is Alfred, Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle AKA Catwoman, Paul Dano as Eddie Nygma AKA The Riddler, and Jeffery Wright as Commissioner Gordon.

After a delay, The Batman is now scheduled to come to theaters on March 4, 2022. In addition to the movie, a prequel Batman TV series is in the works for HBO Max.
