The Boys Renewed For Season 4 By Prime Video

We’re only four episodes into Season 3 of The Boys, and already, we know we’re getting more. Prime Video made the announcement the series, from Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television, has been renewed for Season 4.

That means more wild moments like miniature heroes climbing into penises, bodies exploding, and characters eating sealife that’s a little too fresh. According to Prime Video, over the first three days of the Season 3 launch, The Boys viewership grew 17% from Season 2 and 234% from Season 1.

Further details about Season 4 are unknown at this time, as Season 3 is currently airing, with new episodes launching every Friday. This leads to the Season 3 finale, which will land on Prime Video on July 8. In total, there will be eight episodes in this current season. The current season of the show sees the titular group once again taking on The Seven’s Homelander (Antony Starr), but this time, there’s another supe on the loose named Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles).

“Speaking for the cast and crew, we’re so grateful to Sony, Amazon, and most of all the fans for embracing the show and allowing us to make more,” said Eric Kripke, The Boys showrunner. “We’re thrilled to continue Butcher and the Boys’ fight against Homelander and the Seven, as well as comment on the insane world we’re living in. Also, this is the first time in history that exploding genitalia has led to further success.”

In GameSpot’s review of Season 3 of The Boys, Mat Elfring said, “The Boys continues to be one of the best superhero TV shows. It’s a series that knows its identity and leans in hard to it every single season. It continues to grow and evolve the world it lives in without losing that identity either. The cast is delivering some of the best performances of the series here as well. The Boys Season 3 is a must-watch for summer viewing.”
