Bethesda Game Studios has reannounced its mobile game, The Elder Scrolls: Castles. In it, players will be tasked with building their own kingdom, similar to how Fallout Shelter plays.
The news comes from the official Bethesda Game Studios X/Twitter account, where the studio announced that it had been working on it “for the last few years.” The tweet explains that in the game, “you’ll build your own dynasty where every day in our world is a year in the game’s world.”
Those who wish to pre-register for the game can click here. Those who sign up will be “among the first to play.” As of right now, The Elder Scrolls: Castles is available in the Philippines, but it’ll “be available to more countries in the coming months.”
Despite Bethesda Game Studios suggesting in the tweet that this is the first time the game has been announced, that’s not the case. The Elder Scrolls: Castles was revealed months ago. The studio had shadow-dropped the game late last year. On top of that, YouTuber Sekaimen uploaded a twenty-minute clip of them playing the game.
The news of a new mobile game does align with what Bethesda has done in the past. In 2019, the studio acquired multiple mobile game studios to help increase its efforts in the space. For more Xbox-related news, check out our story highlighting the most-anticipated games of 2024 and beyond.
