A two-hour trial for The Last of Us: Part 1 is currently free on PlayStation 5, and the launch of the trial seems to be aligned with the debut of HBO’s TV series based on the game.
The TV show debuted on January 15 and had a gigantic launch. Some people who watched the show might be inspired to check out the game, which could explain why PlayStation is offering a free trial. In any event, access to the free trial requires a paid PlayStation Plus membership–get it here.
