Naughty Dog and Iron Galaxy have released a new update for The Last of Us Part I on PC, referred to as v1.1.0. Alongside the update, The Last of Us Part I is officially Steam Deck verified, meaning it’s optimized for Valve’s handheld device. The update also adds PC performance improvements across the board.
Specifically, the game will run much better on Steam Deck thanks to the new update. Various crashing issues have been addressed, as have problems with the game’s HUD. An issue that previously would cause players to be unable to push objects has also been fixed.

On PC, the game’s CPU and GPU performance have been improved. Textures, lighting, and a slew of crashing issues have been addressed. Numerous gameplay issues and bugs have been fixed as well, making the overall gameplay experience more enjoyable.
The Last of Us Part I is a remake of the 2013 PS3 game, which launched for PC earlier this year. However, the PC version received negative reviews due to its poor performance. Since then, Naughty Dog and PC co-developer Iron Galaxy have issued numerous updates to improve the experience overall. The PS5 version, on the other hand, launched to critical acclaim in September 2022.
