Since his first appearance in 2011, Miles Morales has donned the Spider-Mantle in comics, video games, television, and Oscar-winning movies. He’s become a generation’s Spider-Hero but we still haven’t seen him in live-action yet and it still might be a while.
Talking to Variety, producer Amy Pascal was asked about any update with a live-action Miles, stating the last time she spoke about it she did confirm it was in the works, but it’s not quite there yet.
“Someday,” she said. “Not until we make two more movies.” Pascal wouldn’t budge on any new information, even if there was any official timeline for the feature.
The two movies she’s referring to are Beyond The Spider-Verse and the solo Tom Holland movie. Beyond was scheduled for release this year but with last year’s actor’s strike, on top of Vulture talking to an anonymous source confirming production delays, the film has been delayed with no release date scheduled.
As for the Tom Holland Spider-Man movie, development was paused last year but resumed after the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes concluded. However, no release date or plot details have been confirmed at this time.
