Point Break 4K Blu-ray

If you don’t want to wait until July to get Point Break in 4K, there’s a non-steelbook 4K Blu-ray release available right now for $31 at Amazon and Walmart. The contents of the two releases are identical–it’s just the packaging that’s different. So if you aren’t overly concerned with how beautiful a movie looks sitting on your shelf, you can save a little time and money by ordering this version instead of the steelbook.
Point Break is just the latest in a recent wave of classic movies with new 4K Blu-ray releases on the way. RoboCop 2 is getting a Collector’s Edtion 4K Blu-ray later this year, while one of Tom Cruise’s best action movies, Collateral, is getting a 4K steelbook edition. And though it’s not a new release, the 4K steelbook edition of The Fifth Element just got a reprint.
