Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder will come to Disney Plus on September 8, the company has announced as part of its announcement for what’s on tap this year for Disney+ Day.
September 8 will indeed be a very big day for Disney Plus, as that day also sees the release of Assembled: The Making of Thor: Love and Thunder, as well as Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return. This mini-feature digs into Ewan McGregor’s path toward returning to play Obi-Wan in the limited series.
Also arriving September 8 is Dancing with the Stars: The Pros’ Most Memorable Dances, Tierra Incognita, sing-a-longs for Forzen and Frozen 2, and a new short from The Simpsons called “Welcome to the Club.” The Disney original short film Remembering will also debut that day.
Love and Thunder made more than $730 million at the global box office. Predictions suggested Love and Thunder would arrive on August 24, but now we know it’s a little later than that.
Disney Plus day will also include special subscriber perks like early entry into Disney World and Disney Land, while some special screenings will be in AMC Theatres from September 8-19.
