Time Bends In Super Bowl Trailer For M. Night Shyamalan's Old

We all worry about aging, but the characters in M. Night Shyamalan’s latest film will have to worry about it a lot sooner than they expected. Universal Pictures showed off the first trailer for Shyamalan’s film, titled Old, during Super Bowl LV.

Based on the novel Sandcastle by Pierre Oscar Levy and Frederik Peeters, Old traps us and the movie’s protagonists on an idyllic, secluded beach with white sand, verdant plants, and rocky cliffs. As the children visiting the beach begin to quickly grow into full-on teenagers, the beachgoers find that they can’t escape, can’t call out, and are themselves getting older, too.

Old stars Eliza Scanlen, Thomasin McKenzie, Aaron Pierce, Vicky Krieps, Alex Wolff, Abbey Lee, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Gael García Bernal, and Ken Leung. M. Night Shyamalan is directing and producing the film, as well as adapting the original story for the screen.

Shyamalan’s Apple TV show Servant, is in the middle of Season 2, and has been renewed for Season 3. His latest movie previous to Old was Glass, the third in his superhero trilogy that began with Unbreakable and Split. Old is set to debut sometime this summer (Probably).
