Vampire Survivors Adds Co-Op, Teases Adventures Mode And More

It’s now possible to dispatch skeletons, ghosts, and werewolves with three other people in Vampire Survivors. Developer Poncle announced version 1.6 of the roguelike game has gone live, bringing four-player local co-op to the title.

In addition, Poncle heavily teased a new Adventures mode for Vampire Survivors over on Steam. The developer vaguely mentions that an upcoming feature will “add a lot of gameplay options and possibilities.” A screenshot is then shared–seen below–with a green Adventures tab.

Vampire Survivors also launched on Nintendo Switch, along with this notable update. The co-op functionality is available in this new version of the game as well as all of the previously released DLC.

This might raise questions about cross-saving for Vampire Survivors, and Poncle is aware of this desired feature. The developer wrote: “We’re working on it: We have already run successful tests in moving saves between PC, mobile, and consoles, while also adding cloud save slots! We’ll keep you updated, but save data is a very delicate thing, so this will really need a lot of testing and an adequate amount of time in the oven to be released in a safe, fully working state. Thanks for being patient!”

Poncle previously revealed a lot of the Vampire Survivors co-op details in July. The developer has reinforced it’s looking into online co-op but can’t promise anything at this time.
