Now Playing: Watch Dogs: Legion Video Review
On Xbox Series X|S, for example, there’s a fix for an issue that could cause the system to run out of memory, while the PlayStation 5 version resolves an engine bug that could cause the game to crash.
Ubisoft is also running a technical test on all consoles for Watch Dogs: Legion’s upcoming online co-op mode. A similar test previously occurred on PC and gave the development team an opportunity to identify several issues to ensure that the online mode’s launch is as smooth as possible.
Co-op was originally planned to hit Watch Dogs: Legion shortly after launch, but Ubisoft ultimately delayed it to focus its efforts on patching single-player issues. It promised at the time that the online mode would come in early 2021.
The online mode is said to allow up to four players to take on missions in Legion’s open-world London, as well as the first Tactical Op and a PvP mode called Spiderbot Arena. Ubisoft also has more story content planned for the season pass this year.
