Now Playing: Destiny 2: The Witch Queen Xur's Location and Items April 29, 2022
Head to the Watcher’s Grave area of Nessus to find Xur this week. For his weapon, Xur is offering Hard Light. Hunters can pick up Gemini Jester leg armor; Titans can grab the Mk. 44 Stand Asides leg armor; and for Warlocks, Xur has the Nezarec’s Sin helmet.
Titans and Warlocks, take note: Xur’s Mk. 44 Stand Asides and Nezarec’s Sin are very high stat rolls, coming in with totals of 68 and 69, respectively. Though the stat distribution for the Stand Asides isn’t great, both are at nearly unheard-of totals, so you’ll want to at least consider them. You’re also going to want to grab Xur’s Dead Man’s Tale for sure, and maybe his Hawkmoon as well.
Xur Location
Xur is on Nessus this week. Spawn in at the Watcher’s Grave transmat zone, then head north on your sparrow toward the exit out of the area. Before you leave, you’ll pass a huge tree covered in pink moss on your right. Climb onto its branches to find Xur standing above the area.
Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
Xur Exotic and Legendary Items
This week, Xur is selling Hard Light, which is a great workhorse assault rifle you can use in a variety of content. It’s a reliable gun for auto rifle fans, with the added benefit of allowing you to change the element type of its ammo, meaning the gun can cut through any kind of enemy shield–perfect for those activities that feature the Equipment Lock modification. If you’re not a fan of his other options, Xur also sells an Exotic engram that will decrypt into an Exotic you don’t already own from the world drop pool. Just note that you can only buy one per week, and the engram is specific to the character class who buys it–so if you’re trying to get a new Titan helmet, don’t buy the engram with your Warlock. He also has the new Xenology Quest, which rewards an Exotic Cipher you can use to purchase Exotics from either Xur or the Tower’s Monument to Lost Lights. The quest requires you to either complete Strikes or win matches in Gambit and the Crucible.

Alongside changes in his location, Xur’s inventory also rotates weekly. That means it’s worth visiting him each time to check out his new weapons and rolls on Exotic and Legendary armor. You can visit him any time between his arrival Friday and the weekly reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET the following Tuesday when Xur departs the Solar System.
We’re looking at a PvP god roll on Dead Man’s Tale from Xur this week. Vorpal Weapon is a favorite on the gun in the Crucible since it’s great for taking out Guardians in Supers, and this version features a ton of range thanks to Full Bore and High Caliber Rounds. The sacrifice is in Stability, so it comes down to what you like in your scout rifles, but this is a phenomenal version of Dead Man’s Tale that’s going to be very effective from a very long distance. Xur’s Hawkmoon is similarly great for long-range fighting in the Crucible, thanks to the Rangefinder perk and Hammer-forged Rifling barrel. Alloy Magazine for faster reloads and Combat Grip for better recoil round out the roll. Both are great gets for PvP-minded players, so pick them up.
Xur’s other weapon offerings mostly aren’t nearly as cool as his DMT and Hawkmoon, with the exception of a couple of snipers. The Widow’s Bite sniper rifle is pretty solid with Firmly Planted and Snapshot Sights allowing you to get fast, high-accuracy shots if you crouch, and a Range Masterwork. The Frozen Orbit sniper rifle can, with Moving Target increasing your target acquisition while helping make you harder to counter-snipe and High-Impact Reserves for throwing in extra damage in the Crucible.
You can grab the Praefectus set of Legendary armor from Xur this week, allowing you to pick up gear from the Season of the Chosen. Though his armor has some interesting rolls, its total stats are all low enough that none of it is even really worth mentioning; Warlocks and Titans get one piece at 60, while the Hunter armor peaks out at 57.

Hard Light
Various nerfs and adjustments have diminished Hard Light somewhat, but it’s still a nice, reliable auto rifle for any situation you’re facing. It handles itself pretty well in the Crucible thanks to high stability and a high-capacity magazine. You can also bounce rounds around corners thanks to its ricochet, which is great for catching unsuspecting Guardians by surprise. In PvE, Hard Light is a workhorse, since you can change the elemental type of its ammo, making it great for cracking enemy shields.
Gemini Jester (Hunter)
The Hunter dodge is already a very cool ability, and Gemini Jester makes it great for getting yourself out of sticky, up-close situations against players or other enemies. While wearing these spiffy pants, your dodge disorients any enemy who’s too close, while also removing their radar. Pair that with some invisibility abilities and you can give players the slip in the Crucible, and maybe even mess them up so much that you can close out a quick kill.

Mk. 44 Stand Asides (Titan)
If you like Titan melee attacks that let you barrel through your opponents, you’ll like Mk. 44 Stand Asides. These boots give you an overshield when you’re sprinting and ready for a shoulder charge or flying knee melee attack, making you tougher to kill while you close the gap on your opponents–great for the Crucible. Landing a hit with your charged melee attack also gives you melee energy back, so you can smash through even more of the competition. This roll is a bit of a weird one since Mobility isn’t a very useful stat for Titans, but with the right build, it might be worth picking up.

Nezarec’s Sin (Warlock)
Nezarec’s Sin is one of those go-to Exotics every Void Warlock should have in their arsenal, and Xur’s roll on it is a pretty great one. The helmet gives you increased ability energy recharge whenever you get kills with Void damage; pairing it with Void guns and the new Void 3.0 changes makes it a powerhouse. The roll on this particular helmet is also great for grenade-flingers, providing great synergy for throwing as many grenades as possible.
