It’s the final weekend before Season 22 begins in Destiny 2, and with some big Exotic armor and weapon changes on the horizon, now’s a good time to stock up on these rare items before they’re overhauled. As usual, Xur has touched down with a curated collection of gear to purchase from him, including Exotic and Legendary-class weapons and armor. Here’s where Xur is this weekend and what he has for sale.
This week you can find Xur on Nessus, in The Watcher’s Grave. For his weapon, Xur is offering DARCI. Hunters can pick up the Young Ahamkara’s Spine gauntlets; Titans can grab ACD/0 Feedback Fence gauntlets; and Warlocks can buy the Apotheosis Veil helmet.
Xur Location
Head to Nessus and use the Watcher’s Grave transmat zone to find Xur this week. When you arrive, hop on your sparrow and head north toward the exit of the area. Look for a big tree with pink moss on the right side of the area. Climb up onto its big, flat branch, where you can reach Xur.

Exotic Armor
Young Ahamkara’s Spine (Exotic Hunter gauntlets)
Depending on your fondness for using a specific type of grenade ability, Young Ahamkara’s Spine might come in very handy. This ghoulish Exotic makes Tripmine grenades more powerful by increasing their blast radius and duration, and any kills you score with one will grant you bonus Tripmine grenade energy. The stats on this Exotic are a mixed bag, as while the key discipline stat isn’t too bad, the focus on recovery is at odds with the core strengths of a Hunter. Resilience is pretty good, and strength is average on this roll.

ACD/0 Feedback Fence (Exotic Titan gauntlets)
Next week will see ACD/0 Feedback Fence overhauled, but for this weekend, you can still experience this Exotic’s original powers before the changes kick in on August 22. Essentially, you’ll be able to build up explosive energy with every melee attack, and once you’re struck, you’ll unleash all that power in one destructive attack. For the stats, mobility is unnecessarily average, resilience is incredibly low, and recovery is high. Strength, which matters most with the melee-centric nature of this Exotic, is high as well here, and an above-average intellect stat rounds it out nicely.

Apotheosis Veil (Exotic Warlock helmet)
This is a nice Warlock Exotic for PvP, as in that instant when you activate your Super, you can be left vulnerable. Once you do use your Super, all your abilities will have their respective energy pools refilled, and you’ll immediately regenerate your health. The stats on this roll are very unbalanced, as mobility, resilience, and discipline are extremely low, while recovery and intellect are very high as the strength stat remains average.

Exotic Weapons
DARCI (Exotic sniper rifle)
Sniper rifles don’t usually feature as must-have Exotic weapons in Destiny, especially when there are versions available for either your primary or secondary weapon slot, but DARCI is still pretty powerful. Personal Assistant gives you critical information on an enemy while you’re aiming at them, Target Acquired syncs nicely with that perk to provide a significant boost to precision damage, and you can jolt a target with a round from this long-distance murder machine.

Hawkmoon (Exotic hand cannon)
Another week, another disappointing Hawkmoon roll. Moving Target works best for PvP, but Rangefinder is typically a better perk to have with the rest of the options on this build.

Dead Man’s Tale (Exotic scout rifle)
Like Hawkmoon, this roll of Dead Man’s Tale is worth skipping this week if you already have this Exotic. Fourth Time’s the Charm is a decent perk for mowing down red-bar enemies in PvE, but it’s no Vorpal Weapon when it comes to pure stopping power.

Xur also offers the Xenology quest every week, which requires you to complete 21 Vanguard Ops or win Crucible and Gambit matches so that you can earn an Exotic Cipher. These are normally used to buy old Exotics from a kiosk in the Tower, but from this season, you’ll be able to spend them at Master Rahool to get the Exotics that you want. The cap on Exotic Ciphers has also increased, as you’ll now be able to hold up to five of them at a time.
Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
